Here is a new character that i've been sketching for a while until finally i found some time to finalize it on illustrator.
His name is "Monsieur Battikh" which means "Mr. Watermelon" :)

"King Kong"

Boxmati.

Public enemy N"1.

This all started when i felt the urge of spreading my name in the streets just like every body else. I felt like I was the only one who's out of the game. So i felt the need to create some stickers and a message or some sort of a campaign to promote myself.

I know that only designers and art lovers appreciate street art, that’s why I chose "Public enemy N1" as one of my messages.

I also chose "Taking over what's left" as one of my, messages because I’ve mentioned before that I felt as I was the only one out of the game and that I wanted to take over what's left on the streets before its too late.

My third message was simply "GRFK" meaning Graphic.




This sticker can go with any of my three messages: "Public enemy N1", "Taking over what's left" and "GRFK".




This sticker is the "GRFK" msg. in arabic.

With a machine gun you can take over something :), but i also created a character that seems freaked out and taking over something. You can see him on the handle of the gun.

Split personality.

If I asked you to take a sec and think of a “table”… what would you think of? Pretty much like everyone else “a table”. If I asked you to think of a “horse”, what would you think of? Regardless of the color we all have a similar image, right?
Now what if asked you to imagine “dreams” or “pain”, what would you think of? What would everybody else think of? It’s hard to think of one thing right?

This was my challenge in this poster. I was asked to think of ”split personality” and to bring this idea on paper.

Explanation of the poster:

- The first thing that grabs your attention in this poster is the clown. Usually clowns should be smiling all the times but as soon as we see that this clown is sad, we directly get the impression of something wrong. The clown is not acting the way he should.
- The face is split in half, giving a hint for split personality.
- When someone has split personality, he no longer has control of his body. His brain takes full control of the body. So the person becomes just like a machine. To hint on that, I used a washing machine located next to the brain and the brain taking over the heart.
- The handwritings and the computer writings also emphasize the previous idea.
- The whole poster has a collage mood to represent the reason of the split personality and basically it’s the problems stuffed on top of each other.
- I created this poster using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe illustrator.

Quench.

When it comes to labeling, all the companies use the same ideas for their products: “showing how natural and fresh the juice is”. I think its time to change that.
Even though I don’t like the logotype of the product “Quench” but at that time I didn’t have lots of experience too, I created it during my second year at LAU but I still think that I did a good job in giving the label a new look that can be easily distinguished on supermarket shelves.

My First Arabic Font.

While staring at the floor, I noticed the shadow of the thick foamy liquid on the tiles. A unique mesmerizing pattern emerged. I piqued at it more carefully and the design beset me, I believe it was the shadow that overlapped the grid of tiles…the floor…the walls; it was too much for my imagination I had to put it to use. The tiles were square, and you could easily draw a letter while following the grid, but the challenge was creating a font with the same grid of the tiles and having the same effect of shadows crawling from floor to the wall.

Music newsletter.

(I photographed all the pictures in this newsletter).

As we all know that “converse” are no longer regular shoes. They became more like a culture tied to music (rock, punk rock and grunge) but we can still see artists from all kind wearing these shoes. That’s why I chose to apply the picture of my red converse on the cover page.
